Once you connect CoinTracker to an AI client, you can ask about your portfolio, transactions, and taxes to get answers based on your real CoinTracker data. The connection is available on every plan and is free for everyone while in beta.
For the full breakdown on what your plan will offer, see Free and paid plans in your AI client.
To set up the connection, see connect CoinTracker to your AI assistant.
What you can ask
- Your portfolio: total value and top holdings across your wallets and exchanges, a position's cost basis and unrealized gain or loss, and trailing performance over a week, month, three months, year, or five years.
- Your transactions: search your history by account, asset, date range, or type, and get full detail on any transaction or hash.
- Your taxes: a tax-year summary with net capital gain, the short-term versus long-term split, and income by category.
- Gains and losses over time: realized gains, proceeds, cost basis, or fees by day, week, month, quarter, or year, plus the individual disposals behind a year's numbers.
- Tax-loss opportunities: your unrealized-loss positions, grouped by asset and wallet. Note: this is information, not tax advice.
- Your account health: which accounts have sync problems or balance mismatches, and what to review before you trust your numbers.
Answers reflect your latest synced CoinTracker data, not the live blockchain or exchange. Re-sync your accounts in CoinTracker if your numbers look out of date.
Tips for better answers
- Name CoinTracker first. Start a new chat with "using my CoinTracker data…" so the assistant pulls from your account.
- Be specific. Name the wallet, asset, or timeframe you care about. Long histories and ranked results can be cut off, so narrow the account or timeframe when you need a complete list.
- Give tax questions a timeframe. Without one, you get your current filing year.
Good to know
- The assistant reads your data and points you to the right place in CoinTracker. The only change it can make is adding a wallet, which you can ask it to do.
- AI can sometimes get things wrong. Double-check anything you would act on, and treat none of it as tax or investment advice.
- Responses may be slower at busy times, and rate limits apply to keep the service stable.
What you can access depends on your plan. See free and paid plans in your AI client.
