Keeping your account up to date is essential to fully access all plan’s features and ensure accurate tax reporting. Learn how long it takes for a wallet or exchange to sync and how to check your wallet sync status.
Where sync status appears
Your sync status and any problems are shown directly on each wallet on the Wallets page, so you no longer have to infer them. If a wallet needs attention, it shows a health state with an inline action to resolve it. For what each state means and how to fix it, see Wallet Health Indicators.
Sync times overview
- Smaller wallets and exchanges: Sync in about five minutes for fewer than 10,000 transactions.
- Larger wallets and exchanges: Sync in 30 minutes to one hour for over 10,000 transactions, diverse assets, and active histories.
Understanding wallet and exchange sync frequency
- If you sign in to your CoinTracker account at least once every 30 days, we’ll automatically sync your wallets and exchanges daily.
- If you’ve been inactive for over 30 days, syncing happens upon your next sign in.
- For same-day activity, such as transactions after a morning sync, you’ll need to initiate a manual sync.
Checking wallet sync status
- Existing wallets or exchanges: A checkmark appears if syncing was completed within 24 hours and your account is up to date.
Newly added wallets or exchanges: Syncs may take up to 30 minutes, or rarely up to one hour, depending on transaction volume and integration capacity.
